Hello and Welcome to Pic-Time!

This is Part 1 of 3 in the Quick Start series to help you get started with Pic-Time.

This guide will help you get your account up and running, as well as introduce you to some of the features of the site that will help elevate your business and your client experience.

After this article, you can check out Parts 2 and 3:

Help Resources

You can access this guide and all Help articles anytime from your photographer dashboard by clicking the question mark icon in the bottom left corner.

Need support? Click the help bubble in the bottom right corner. Most of our team are photographers too - we’re always happy to help!

Add Profile Info (~ 1 Min Setup)

1. Go to Settings from your Main Dashboard.

2. In the Profile tab, add your basic information like business name, address, phone number, and timezone.

3. You can also change your password, and we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication for extra security.

Add Billing Info (~ 1 Min Setup)

In the Plans & Billing tab you can:

  • Add or update your payment method which will be used for subscription charges and order costs when applicable.

  • Add a valid Tax Number or SSN/EIN to accept and receive payments from orders.

Customize your Brand & Style (~ 2 Min Setup)

In the Brand & Style tab, you can customize your brand by adding:

  • Your logo (we recommend uploading a dark and light version for more versatility).

  • Brand email (the email your clients will see when they receive messages from you through Pic-Time)

  • Your website and social media links

These will be displayed in various places throughout the site and client emails for cohesive branding.

Advanced Setup: Add your own custom domain and upload a print release.

Set Store Pricing (~ 3 Min Setup)

Store pricing allows you to have full control over your store prices and the products you offer.

For a quick store setup, go to the Store Pricing tab and set up the store using Pic-Time’s premade pricing presets.

Advanced Setup:

Set Store Settings (~ 1 Min Setup)

Payments

In the Store Settings tab, under Payments, click Setup to add your PayPal email to begin accepting payments.

Hold Period

Set a hold period on orders so you can review them before they are sent to production.

While an order is on hold, you can adjust image cropping and confirm the correct images are selected. Once the hold period ends, the order is automatically sent to production.

We recommend a 3-day hold period. This gives you enough time to review the order without delaying your client’s delivery too much. After reviewing, you can approve the order to send it to production right away.

This ensures you deliver better, more personalized customer support than simply leaving it to a third party.

Advanced Setup:

Accept payments yourself to sell in a currency other than USD, offer self-fulfilled or custom products, issue direct refunds to your clients, and more.

Set your Support Preferences to be proactive for any order refunds. We recommend the Moderate option, as it will provide less wait time for your clients as well as less work for you.

Create Gallery Template (~ 5 Min Setup)

In the Preferences tab, you can create your Gallery Templates to save your gallery settings, such as automatic scenes for Wedding galleries, specific download permission settings, and more. This will save you time when creating future galleries of a similar kind.

Advanced Setup: Automatically enlarge photos and mark photos as favorites based on rating metadata.

Gallery Migration

Migrate Your Galleries

If you’d like to migrate your galleries to Pic-Time from another service, follow the steps in Pic-Time’s Gallery Migration Guide.

Invite Your Clients to Browse & Shop

After your gallery migration is complete, use the Gallery Migration App to invite your clients to their new Pic-Time gallery. You can generate excitement with a store sale or as a standalone announcement letting them know of their new gallery.

Download Pic-Time Mobile App (1 Min Setup)

Download the Pic-Time App (available in both Google Play and App Store) and follow the detailed guide to the app here.

The app allows you to view and share your galleries, adjust some key gallery settings, and download your images on the go.

Your clients can also download the app to view their galleries from the convenience of their mobile phone.

What's Next

Now that your account is set up, you can create and send your first client gallery!
