The Classic Holiday Sale app was created for a smooth customer experience for both you and your clients.

Below are some common questions and answers regarding the Holiday apps.

Why should I use the Classic Holiday app?

The sales apps are a great opportunity for you to remind your clients to gift photos for their friends and family, and help you have a profitable holiday season. Learn more here.

What happens if my client has multiple galleries and I assign a sale to both galleries?

Your client will be able to use the discount for both galleries, but they will only receive one set of emails. Learn more here.

What happens if I add the sale to a gallery that already has a sale running?

The client will be able to see both sales simultaneously in their gallery, and receive relevant emails from both sales. If the sales are % OFF discounts, then by default the client will only receive the larger of the two discounts per each order, unless you enable discount stacking (or otherwise are offering two discounts for two different product types). The Rolling Publish app discount is also stackable, so we suggest offering a smaller Black Friday discount in that instance instead.

Do I have to re-publish any expired/offline galleries?

No, the sales apps will bring the gallery back online for the duration of the sale. Learn more here.

How do I select specific products to include in the sale?

If you have any custom products, product packages, digital products, or products created by other sales apps, by default they will not be included in the discount. The messaging in the Classic Holiday Sale advertizes a discount for your entire shop, so you may want to disable these products in your Store Pricing for the duration of the sale. However, if you do want to offer them at the discounted rate, you can easily enable them by editing the discount. Learn more here.

How can I do an easy Black Friday Sale with less emails?

You can easily toggle off the Holiday Campaign in the app and only include the Black Friday phase. Learn more here.

If I need to make changes to a Campaign that was already assigned to my galleries, how can I edit it?

We suggest duplicating the app, deleting any sent emails, and assigning the duplicated app. Learn more here.

If a client purchases something from the Black Friday sale, will they still receive emails?

Yes, the client will still receive emails for the Black Friday portion and the Holiday portion of the app, if they'd like to use the discount again.

When does the Black Friday sale end?

It will end at 11:59pm in your timezone.

Where are the Pre-Holiday, Album, Cards, and Ornaments apps?

In past years we had other apps available to highlight particular products. This year, the apps are no longer available since we highly recommend using the Classic Holiday Sale app. If you were using the other apps, they will continue to work, and can still be edited and duplicated. If you'd like to create a new sale focusing on any particular products, you can customize the Classic Holiday app, or create a General Coupon app.
