Aside from the photographer account, Pic-Time has four different user types that you can use for your clients for different things such as download settings, marketing campaigns, visibility in the gallery, and more.

The Four Different User Types

  • Main Client: invited specifically by you, your highest-level user in the gallery.

  • Photographer Invited: invited specifically by you or through a secure link.

  • Client Invited: invited specifically by the client or through the secure guest link.

  • Guest: marked when they access the gallery through the public guest link.

User types mostly pertain to the level of download permissions, gallery, and scene access, and receiving sales campaigns.

How people are invited determines their user type for that gallery. Learn more about the user login and account creation here.

Main Client

The Main Client can have the highest level of download permissions. In the gallery and slideshow download settings, you can set free high-res and/or web-sized downloads to the Main Client only.

Main Clients also have the ability to hide photos in the gallery, and you can email Selection Requests and Album Proofs.

undefined

In some Marketing Automation apps, the Main Client will receive particular emails, while other guests can receive alternate emails. For example in the Rolling Publish app, the Main Client will receive their gallery invite email right away, and guests will receive a separate gallery invite email a certain number of days later.

Photographer Invited

Photographer Invited users can be vendors of the wedding, attendees at an event, extended family, etc. They can have the same or lower level of download permissions as the main clients. In the gallery and slideshow download settings, you can set free high-res and/or web-sized downloads to the Main Client and Photographer Invited only.

You can limit which scenes each Photographer Invited user has access to in the gallery, and you can easily invite a list of people to the gallery through this section.

undefined

Client Invited

Client Invited users are people who have been invited to the gallery by the Main Client, either via email or through the secure guest link if the gallery is private. Users who Pre-Register to a gallery are also marked as Client Invited.

Client Invited users have the lowest level of download permissions. In the gallery and slideshow download settings, you can set free high-res and/or web-sized downloads for Everybody.

Guest

Guests are any users who view the gallery through the public guest link. They have the lowest level of download permissions, similar to Client Invited users. In the gallery and slideshow download settings, you can set free high-res and/or web-sized downloads for Everybody.

Gallery Permissions

In the download settings of the gallery and slideshows, you can set free high-res and/or web-sized downloads for different user types.

Share as Gallery

In the Photos tab, you can quickly select photos to share as a limited gallery view. If you're sharing photos with your Main Client or an existing Photographer Invited user, they will see this limited view with the option to View All Photos and their user type will remain the same. If you're sharing this with another guest/client, their user type will be set as Photographer Invited.

Please Note: if your Main Client has hidden any photos in the gallery, these photos will remain hidden from other users regardless if you share them.

Shared Photos

If a person views the link of a shared selection, only the selection will be shown, and if they have access to any other photos (for example: through the secure or public link), then a top bar and a button will be shown allowing to view all photos shared with them.

You can also display the watermark in the gallery for certain user types.

Marketing Automations

For some Marketing Automation apps, such as the Early Bird app, you can limit which user types receive the sales campaign. You can limit the campaign to any and all user types to create targeted sales, such as a welcome campaign to Client Invited and Guest users only, or a digital download sale for vendors set as Photographer Invited users.

undefined

For other Marketing Automation apps, such as the General Coupon app, you can limit which user types receive the campaign when you assign the app to a gallery.
