Pic-Time supports the design process of albums within the store, straight from the gallery. If you wish to do your own design we support it through the proofing and printing so that your client will have all his communication in one place.

Please Note: Some features of the Album Proofing are unavailable on mobile devices.

Proofing: The album proofing tool (located in the Workflow tab) is an efficient tool for photographers who design their albums outside of Pic-Time, with software such as SmartAlbums and Fundy. Album proofing allows the main client to attach comments to the pages, send them back to the photographer for adjustments and use the design to purchase an album in their gallery.

Printing: After the proofing process is done you can use the designs to order the album in the gallery store. If you are not using the album proofing tool, you can still upload your album spreads separately.

First, you will want to create the album spreads and export them as JPEGs.

Album Proofing Tool

1. To begin using the album proofing tool, click on the gallery you would like to work in, click the Workflow tab and click + under Album Proofing.

undefined

2. Click + to upload a new spread.

undefined

3. After your spreads are uploaded, you are able to leave comments on each spread, if needed. The main client will see the comments. To begin, click on the spread.

undefined

4. Type the comment and click Save.

undefined

5. You can place a pin on the spot referencing the comment. Simply type the comment and click on the spread to place a pin, then click Save.

undefined

6. If you need to delete a spread, checkmark to select it, click Select All if you want to remove all your spreads, and click Delete

7. Once done uploading the spread, click Send to Client.

undefined

8. Choose an email package, draft & review your message and click Send Email.

undefined

Client View

1. Once you send the album design to your client, they will be notified that proofing has been opened. They can follow the link from the email to their gallery. Once in the gallery, they can click the proofing icon in the navigation bar.

undefined

2. Then they can add comments and click Save. They can click anywhere on the spread to reference a specific spot (this will drop a pin on the page).

undefined

3. When finished reviewing the proof, the client can click Send to Photographer to complete their proofing experience.

undefined

Managing Album Proofing

1. You will receive an email once the proof is reviewed and sent by the client. You can review the client’s comments by clicking on View Comments when hovering over the album spread.

undefined

2. After making any adjustments to the spreads, you can replace the original spread with the new spread. No need to delete the old spread, simply re-upload it and it will be updated as long as the filenames of the spread remain the same. Re-send the proof to your client after the changes are made.

Purchasing an Album / Send to your Client via the Gallery Store

1. Select the album from the store. Hover over the album spread and click Edit.

undefined

2. Select the Proofing tab to open your selection of custom album spreads. This is where all of the spreads that you upload through the Album Proofing tool are located.

undefined

3. Select the layout that covers the whole page and choose your custom album spread.

undefined

4. Once you are done placing the designed pages in the spreads, you can add to cart to process the album or use the Send to Client feature to send the product to your client. For more information on how to send the finished product to your client, click here.

undefined

Alternatively, you can add it to your own shopping cart and check out.
