In Pic-Time, you can decide exactly how your clients receive their orders. You can enable lab shipping, offer free shipping, set up local pickup, ship orders to yourself first, or self-fulfill everything. The options your clients see at checkout will depend on which methods you’ve enabled. Each one is explained below.
Lab-Offered Shipping
If you’re using one of the labs we've partnered with to fulfill orders, the available shipping methods are determined by the lab. You can check available shipping methods for each lab and compare shipping costs.
Self-Fulfilling Orders
If you want full control over printing and shipping, you can choose to self-fulfill orders. This allows you to:
Select your preferred shipping carrier.
Set custom shipping rates.
Package and send orders yourself.
You can enable this option in your Store Settings. For detailed instructions, refer to this article.
Free Shipping
Automatic Free Shipping
Set free shipping as the default for specific products or for your entire store, covering the cost for your clients by following these steps.
Free Shipping Coupon
You can encourage larger orders by creating a General Coupon App that offers Free Shipping once an order reaches a certain value.
Please Note: The discount covers economy shipping by default. If a client chooses to upgrade to a faster method, they’ll need to pay the full upgraded shipping price.
Shop Sales
You can also include Free Shipping as part of any sale you run through Pic-Time’s Marketing Automations.
Local Pickup
Perfect for clients who live near you or your studio. You can enable this for specific Price Lists and customize pickup options for individual galleries. Once enabled, you’ll be able to mark orders as ready for pickup. Follow these steps to set this up.
Ship To Yourself First
You can choose to have orders shipped to you first, giving you the chance to review or customize them before shipping them to your clients. This means you take on the responsibility of delivering the order to the client yourself.
You can enable the Ship to Me First option in each product’s price settings (Main Dashboard > Store Pricing > select a product and click to Edit Price). For detailed instructions, refer to this guide.
Client Choices During Checkout
If more than one shipping option is enabled, clients can change their preferred shipping method in the shopping cart.
Please Note: This option will only appear in their cart if more than one shipping method is enabled.
By tailoring your shipping setup, you can offer what works best for your workflow!
