When you self-fulfill products in your store, you are able to set your shipping rates for each type of product. Since you are shipping the products from a lab outside of Pic-Time, you will want to set the correct shipping rates to cover the cost of shipping. You can create various shipping tiers (shipping packages that would include local and international shipping) and assign the correct shipping tier to your products.

Setting Self-Fulfill Shipping Rates

1. To begin, click Settings from the Main Dashboard.

undefined

2. In the Store Settings tab, click Setup under Self Fulfill Shipping.

3. First, name your Shipping Tier package. You can create different tiers, so you can have various names for each tier. You can assign the Shipping Tier packages to each self-fulfill product in the store, so you will want to have different names if you have multiple packages.

undefined

4. To create an additional Shipping Tier package, click Add Shipping Tier.

undefined

5. By default, each Shipping Tier package will automatically generate four shipping rate options, Non-Trackable delivery, Economy Delivery (Ground Shipping), Expedited Delivery (2-Day Shipping), and Rush (Overnight Shipping). These are the rates that will be available to your clients when they place their order.

undefined

6. If you would like to add an additional shipping method, click Add Shipping Method.

undefined

7. You can choose to add a local shipping method (Economy, Expedited, or Rush) or an International Shipping Method. To add an international shipping method, choose a country for international shipping.

8. Now you can set up your prices. Enter your price value Per Order and Per Unit.

Per order: this is the shipping price that would be charged to your client each time they place their order.

Each Unit: this price will be charged to your client for each unit within their cart.

Please Note: Per unit price is applied per each variant of the product (size, color, etc.). For example, if your client is ordering 300 prints, each print will count as a unit. We recommend creating per-order pricing for items that have a higher likelihood of being ordered in a high volume. You can create a specific shipping tier for the product.

9. You can assign different shipping tiers to your self-fulfilled products. For example, you can assign a certain tier to your albums and a different tier to the prints. So when your client is checking out with an album and prints in their cart and selects a Rush delivery method, the Rush shipping rate from both shipping tiers will apply. When you checkmark Charge only the highest per order price, the system will apply the highest shipping rate value when there are different products in the cart.

10. When you are ready to save your shipping information, click Apply.

Assigning Shipping Tiers to Products

1. Once you create your Shipping Tiers, you can assign them to your products. Find your product under the Store Pricing tab. Hover over the product and click Edit Price.

2. Set your fulfillment to Self Fulfill and choose your Shipping Tier under the drop-down menu.

3. If you need to modify the shipping tiers again, you can click on the pencil icon. Then once you are ready to save your changes click Apply.

Client View

Your client can enter their shipping address in their cart and choose the shipping method that is available within the Shipping Tier you assigned to their product.

By default, the local shipping methods (Economy, Expedited and Rush) are always displayed to your client in their carts. However, if your shipping tier does not have a certain shipping method available (i.e. Rush) and the client chooses that option in their cart, they will receive a notification message. The message will let your client know that the shipping method is unavailable and that their shipping method has been changed to the next best available option.

If your client enters an address for a certain international country that you don’t offer shipping to, then an error message will display that No shipping is available to this address.
