How do I create and use the Early Gift Sale App?

The Early Gift Sale 2025 App helps you and your clients get ahead of the holiday season. This ready-made campaign encourages clients to purchase meaningful gifts early, while there’s still time to meet production and shipping deadlines.

The Early Gift Sale App includes:

  • A set of pre-written emails in 11 different languages

  • Gallery and Shop banners

  • A customizable discount

Please Note: Before installing the App, make sure your timezone is set correctly in your profile so that emails and discounts are delivered at the right time.

Please Note: By default, the sale runs for 14 days. We recommend starting it no later than October 10, so it finishes by October 24, ahead of the earliest expected lab deadlines for holiday production and delivery.

Please Note: If you edit the App after it has been assigned to galleries, follow the instructions here for a smooth campaign.

Quick Install

The Early Gift Sale App is fully designed and ready to use. To activate it in minutes:

1. Install App

From your Main Dashboard, go to Sales & Automation.

In the Campaigns tab, under Client Galleries, click on the Early Gift Sale 2025 App to install it.

In the Holiday Apps section, select the Early Gift Sale 2025.

Click to Install App.

Rename the App if you wish to, and click to Add Automation App.

2. Adjust Language & Discount

Adjust the Campaign Language if needed. Click on the pencil icon to edit. Learn more about adjusting the language here.

Double-check that the Discount works with your shop pricing. Click the pencil icon to edit if needed. Learn more about adjusting the discount here.

Please Note: If you changed the Campaign Language, you'll need to manually update the Discount's Description.

Click Save.

3. Assign the App to Galleries

After creating your App, follow these steps to assign it to your galleries and launch the Early Gift Sale campaign immediately or schedule it in advance.

Please Note: By default, the sale runs for 14 days. We recommend starting it no later than October 10, so it finishes by October 24, ahead of the earliest expected lab deadlines for holiday production and delivery.


Full App Customization

If you want more control over every detail of your campaign, use the instructions below to customize the Early Gift Sale App to your preferences.

Install App

1. From the Main Dashboard, go to Sales & Automation.

2. In the Campaigns tab, select Client Galleries, then click on Early Gift Sale 2025 App.

3. Click to Install App.

4. Rename the App if desired, then click Add Automation App.

Campaign Language

5. English is the default Campaign Language. Skip this step, or click on the pencil icon to edit.

6. Select the Campaign Language (available in 11 options: English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Nederlands, Polski, Português, Svenska, Dansk, Norsk). Click Apply.

Please Note: Complete this step before making other edits. Changing the language afterward will reset any changes you have made.

Design Template

7. There is just one design template, so no selection is needed. You can skip this step or click on the pencil icon to preview it.

8. Preview how the Gallery and Shop designs will appear. Click Apply, or click on the X on the top right corner of the page to close out without applying.

Please Note: Applying the design template will reset any changes you have made to the emails and banners, so only click apply if you haven't made any edits yet.

Discount

9. To review and edit the Discount settings, click the pencil icon.

10. Modify the discount, description, and code. You can also enable free shipping, set a minimum order amount, and allow discount stacking.

Learn more about different discount options you can offer.

11. By default, the discount applies only to Pic-Time's built-in physical products. To include custom products, product packages, downloads, or gift cards, uncheck this option.

12. You can also Select Products to choose which print products to Include or Exclude from the sale. Products are included by default — uncheck any you don’t want to include, then click Apply to save.

13. Click Apply to save your Discount settings.

Campaign Duration

14. The default Campaign Duration is 14 days. We recommend keeping this. To change it, click on the pencil icon.

15. Set how long the campaign will run.

You can select the start date when assigning the App to your galleries. Check Adjust time to 11:59 PM to ensure the discount ends at the end of the last day. Then click Apply.

Emails

16. Click the pencil icon to choose when to send the Announcement and reminder emails.

17. Choose whether to send emails at the Earliest possible time or using an Optimized schedule.

18. Check the box to receive a copy of the first email from each assignment batch. Click Apply to save your settings.

19. Click the pencil icon to edit each email. To skip sending an email, click the trash can icon to remove it.

20. Select preferred Design Layout. To swap out banner images, click Change Image or click on the image graphic in the email preview.

You can browse and select one of our Holiday Sale designs.

Alternatively, go to My Images and click + Upload Image to upload your own designs, or choose Use Cover Photo to automatically apply each gallery’s cover image to the email.

21. In the Content tab, adjust the subject line, message, and button text if desired.

Pro Tip: Make use of dynamic text tokens in your email template to automatically personalize content for each recipient or campaign.

22. Adjust colors and logos in the Style tab.

23. Click Apply to save changes.

Banners

24. Click the pencil icon to edit banners, or the trash can icon to remove them.

25. Review the banners (gallery and shop banners are pre-designed for this campaign). Click Apply to save changes.

Save App

26. Once you’re done, you can add an internal note for your reference, then click Save to finish.

Assign the App to Galleries

27. After creating your App, follow the steps below to assign it to your galleries and launch the Early Gift Sale campaign immediately or schedule it in advance.

Assigning the App to Galleries

The sale will only run once the App is assigned to galleries, starting from your chosen date.

1. After saving the App, click on it and select Assign to Galleries.

2. Click Assign to Galleries to choose which galleries the sale will apply to.

3. Under Projects, click the pencil icon to edit the galleries you want to include in the sale (selecting all is recommended).

4. Click to Select All, Filter Projects, or check individual galleries, then click Apply to save your selections.

5. Decide which user types will see the sale. Click the pencil icon to include recipients beyond your Main Clients if needed.

6. Click Any to select all user types, or check the boxes next to specific types only, then click Apply.

7. If you do not want the campaign to start immediately, click the pencil icon to adjust the start date.

8. By default, the Schedule is set to Now. Select Choose Start Date from the drop-down menu to set a specific date and time.

9. Based on the default App settings, the sale runs for 14 days. We suggest setting the start date no later than October 10 to ensure your clients have enough time to place their orders before the earliest expected lab deadlines for holiday production and delivery. This will also correspond with your timezone settings.

Click Apply to save.

10. Once all settings are correct, click Apply to add the sale to your galleries.

11. A pop-up will confirm the App is added. The campaign will begin automatically on your chosen start date, allowing clients to enjoy the offer and place orders.
