If you like, you can receive a BCC copy of emails (with no clickable links) sent via the Sales & Automation apps. This is a great option for photographers who want to see their general campaigns such as Holiday apps, or emails sent to specific clients such as within the Simple Sales System. This article will go over when and how to enable the BCC copy, as well as when you will receive the copy.
Enable BCC Copy
1. In the app editor, click on the Email send settings. This may be under an Emails section of the app.
2. Checkmark to be sent a BCC of the first email from each batch, then click Apply.
Please Note: if you do not see this option in your app, you may need to duplicate the app first to create an updated version. Some apps do not have the BCC option.
Announcement and Reminder Emails
You will receive the BCC Announcement Email and any Reminder emails for each email section of the app. For example, if your app has multiple email sections, you'll receive the BCC for all sections you enable.
Please Note: The client does not receive reminder emails if they have already used the discount amount, in which case you would not receive the BCC either.
Each Email Batch
An email batch refers to the timing of emails. If an email is being sent to one recipient, or if an email is being sent to multiple recipients at once, both are considered an email batch and one BCC will be sent to you in both cases.
For example, in the Early Bird and Abandoned Cart apps where each person actions the specific time when the email is sent, then you'll receive a BCC for each person.
In other apps where the email is being sent to a group of users, such as Holiday apps, Gallery Expiration, Anniversary Gift, etc., you will receive one BCC for the entire group. So if you assign a Holiday app to multiple galleries at once, you'll receive one BCC.
Email Send Time
The time you receive your BCC copy and the clients receive their emails will depend on a few factors.
Email Send Settings
Within the app's Email send settings, you can adjust the time when the emails themselves are sent, either at the earliest possible time, or at an Optimized schedule. This will not affect the campaign start, but only when the emails themselves are sent.
Campaign Start and Client Actions
Depending on the app, the emails may be sent based on your Campaign Start Date and/or based on different actions the client takes. For example, in the Abandoned Cart app, you can set the campaign to begin a certain number of days after the client has left products in their cart.
In addition, you and your clients may never receive particular emails. For example, in the Simple Sales System app, if your client never purchases Package 2, they and you won't receive any emails regarding Package 2.
Automation-App Start
When you assign an app, you may be able to choose the Automation-App Start. Using this, you can schedule campaigns ahead of time.
If needed, you can always check if an email has been sent to a client under the Gallery's Dashboard tab.
