Pic-Time Experts may occasionally need temporary access to your account to help you set up or maintain your account. You might also choose to provide temporary access to others for various reasons, such as an assistant. To do this, you’ll need to set up a temporary password and disable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account.

This guide will walk you through the steps to remove 2FA and update your password from the Main Dashboard for these specific instances.

Disabling 2FA

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security feature that requires a second form of verification, in addition to your password, to access your account, providing an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access. While it's important to keep 2FA activated for enhanced security, it can be temporarily turned off when necessary.

1. To begin, from your Main Dashboard, select Settings.

2. Next, in the Profile tab, navigate to Security.

3. Then update your 2FA security settings by unchecking both boxes. Then, select Apply.

Creating a Temporary Password

4. If you need to share access to your account, creating a temporary password may be necessary. This is done by following the standard password change process. Currently, Pic-Time does not automatically revert temporary passwords, so the password you set as temporary will become your main password. As the account owner, you'll need to manually update the password again once you want to revoke access.

Begin by selecting Settings from the Main Dashboard.

5. Next, in the Profile tab, navigate to Change Password.

6. Here, you'll create a temporary password for short-term use. Although this password is temporary, we recommend making it as secure as possible by including special characters and numbers, as two-factor authentication (2FA) will be deactivated during this time. This adds an extra layer of security.

Enter your old password, and new password, and select Apply.

7. Your account is now ready to be shared with the individual who needs temporary access, such as a Pic-Time Expert.

8. Once access is no longer required, we strongly recommend re-enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) and updating your password. This step is crucial to protect your galleries and maintain your clients' privacy.
