With the Lightroom Plug-in, you can quickly create galleries for your Pic-Time account and upload images directly from Lightroom. After installing and adding the Plug-in, you can begin creating galleries.

Creating a Gallery in the Lightroom Plug-in

1. To create a new gallery, right-click the Pic-Time Publish Service and select Create Gallery...

2. Name your gallery, and checkmark to use one of your previously created Gallery Templates.

If your Gallery Template has scenes, these will be transferred to the Plug-in.

Then checkmark if you'd like to add your currently selected photos to the gallery. These will be added to the first scene automatically, but can easily be organized into other scenes after the gallery is created.

Add and Edit Scenes

3. Add Gallery Scenes by clicking Add Scene... Then name your scenes and click Create.

4. If needed, you can go back to re-organize your scenes by right-clicking on your gallery and selecting Edit Gallery...

5. Then select Sort Scenes.

6. Click on the scene, and select Up or Down to move it in the sequence, or type a specific sequence number. Select the scene and click Set #. Then click OK.

Please Note: To display the correct order of scenes in Lightroom, a prefix number is added before each scene. This number is for display purposes only and will not be displayed in the Pic-Time gallery.

Moving and Organizing Photos

7. Once a gallery is created, the folders “Scenes“, ”Selections”, “Highlights”, and “Cover Photo” will be created. To start moving photos to your folders, you can drag and drop the photos into the scenes and cover photo folder. Simply select the photos from your catalog and drag them to a scene (or cover photo folder).

Pro Tip: Drag and drop the photos within the scene to create a custom order. Just note that the custom order will only reflect when publishing scene by scene, not the full gallery.

Please Note: You cannot drag photos into the Favorites or Selections scenes. These scenes will populate with the Client's information when the gallery is synced. Click here to learn more.

Smart Scene

8. You can add a smart scene once your gallery is created. The smart scene is automatically updated with photos from your Lightroom Catalog according to the filter options you set. You only need to click the Publish button to update the Pic-Time gallery with the changes. Simply right-click on the gallery name and select Create Smart Scene...

Highlights Scene

9. If you would like to create a Highlights scene of photos, you can drag and drop the photos from the gallery scenes that you created into the Highlights scene. The Highlights scene stays at the top of the gallery and will only create virtual copies of the photos.

Please Note: Publishing the Highlights scene only works after the gallery itself has been published. This is because the photos need to already exist in one of the gallery scenes in order to exist in the virtual Highlights scene. If you like, you can hide the other scenes so that only the Hightlights scene is displayed as a preview.

You can make changes to the Highlights scene on Pic-Time if you would like, and use the Sync option to sync the changes in the Plug-in.

10. After creating your gallery, you will want to update your export and file naming settings. Learn more here!
