Tiered Pricing can be added to any of the items in the store, except for custom products. This pricing structure is designed to deliver a quantity discount when a higher quantity of items is chosen. For example, you can set the first ten 4x6 prints to be $10 each, then the next ten to be $5 each so the client is more likely to purchase more.
To increase clarity during the shopping experience the quantity discount is displayed in the store while the clients design and pick the items/photos to purchase.
Tiered Pricing is also supported for ordering several different designs of the same products (not only copies of the same product).
In this tutorial, we will go over how to set up tiered pricing. Learn more about how tiered pricing is displayed in the store here. You can also apply a Pricing Preset which includes tiered pricing for small prints.
Setting up Tiered Pricing
1. To begin, click on Settings from your Main Dashboard.
2. Go to Store Pricing, select your particular Price List, and click on a product to edit it.
3. Checkmark the Tiered Pricing option and click to Edit Tiered Pricing.
4. This will open the tiered pricing page, where you can create multiple tiers of pricing if your client orders a certain amount of product in that size.
5. 1 copy and above means one print (of that particular size/finish) or one frame, or one album, etc. Set your price for the first print.
6. Each additional print means each print (of that particular size/finish) or one frame, or one album, etc., above the first one. This includes duplicate copies of the same image. Set your price for the second print, and each additional following.
7. To add another pricing tier, click + Add More.
8. Then list the number of prints this second tier will apply to. The system will automatically calculate the price in accordance with your first tier. For example, if your first tier for prints is $10 for 1 copy and above, with each additional print at $10 each, and you set your second tier to 10 copies and above, the system will automatically set the price for 10 prints to $100.
Then with each additional print above 10 prints, you can set it at a discounted price.
9. When you’re finished setting up your tiers, click Apply.
To sell products or downloads at a fixed price, set your tier for the fixed price, and set each additional print to $0. This way, no matter how many prints above your tier the client purchases, it will always remain the same price. For downloads, this will display in the gallery as the Full Gallery discounted price.
