Are client emails moved with the galleries during gallery migration?
Yes.
In Pic-Time, there are five different user types. How your clients are set up in Pic-Time depends on your previous service: For services that have a clear main client, the email(s) is moved over as the Main Client to Pic-Time. For services that don’t have a clear main client, the email(s) are moved over as Photographer Invited users to Pic-Time.
Galleries can be migrated from: Pixieset, Smugmug, ShootProof, CloudSpot, PASS+.
Email information can be transferred from these services only:
Shootproof: main clients are transferred as Main Clients in Pic-Time
Pixieset: all users are transferred as Photographer Invited users in Pic-Time
CloudSpot: all registered users are added as Photographer Invited users in Pic-Time
Pass+: all emails are added under the same gallery visitor types in Pic-Time
Are client favorites moved with the galleries during gallery migration?
Favorites can be migrated from PASS+ only.
Is the gallery structure (scenes) preserved during gallery migration?
Yes. Existing scenes/categories are preserved, but cover images cannot be designated for each scene in Pic-Time.
Please Note: When creating gallery templates for your migration, DO NOT add scene names in the gallery template if your previous galleries already have scenes. They will be transferred over.
Our migration service does not support sub-folders from SmugMug: before we migrate your galleries, you will need to separate each sub-folder into main folders.

Is the cover photo migrated?
Yes! The gallery’s cover image will be migrated.
For Pixieset users: Cover images are only downloadable in low resolution, so you may need to reupload or select a new cover in Pic-Time.
Can my gallery categories be preserved when migrating to Pic-Time?
Yes.
On Pixieset, gallery “categories” correspond to Pic-Time’s Occasion. You can preserve your categories by creating Pic-Time Gallery Templates with Occasions and linking your Pixieset galleries to the appropriate templates.
How long does migration take with the Migration Service?
At the moment, migration service takes around 10 weeks, but the time may vary based on demand and the number of galleries being migrated. You can check with our team by emailing [email protected] for a time estimate.
Can I move just some of my galleries using the Migration Service?
Yes, you don’t have to move all the galleries. You can request to move a selection of galleries from your account. Pic-Time requires a minimum of 10 galleries.
Is the Migration Service available for all Pic-Time plans?
Yes, all paid/upgraded plans can use the Migration Service.

Why can't you migrate from all gallery services?
Our migration tools are custom-built by Pic-Time. Each platform requires development and testing to ensure data transfers correctly, which takes time and resources. We currently support the largest and most popular platforms, but some smaller services are not yet supported. We’re actively working on expanding options.
My clients currently have an access code to the gallery. Will it stay the same?
No. In most cases, clients will be prompted to create a new password the first time they access the gallery in Pic-Time.
Will my galleries keep the same order after migration?
Yes, galleries will maintain the same order if they have an event date from your previous platform.
Will my gallery URL stay the same?
The URL will be based on the gallery name, not a random string. However, we cannot guarantee it will be exactly the same as before.
How do I invite clients to their migrated galleries?
We recommend using our Gallery Migration App to email your clients their new gallery link. You can even include a store discount to give them a warm welcome and encourage product sales!
