The main difference between Campaigns and Automations is that Campaigns are set up as a simple discount for one-off events, such as a holiday sale or a general store sale, while Automations are built around the gallery workflow, client actions, and different sales strategies.
At their most basic level, all the Campaigns and Automations will give your client a discount they can use in the shop, and the app will present your client with that discount via emails they’ll receive as well as gallery and shop banners. They are also pre-written and ready-to-go by our Marketing team, so all you need to do is select the sales you want and add them to your galleries.
Campaigns
Marketing Campaigns are designed using proven best practices based on insights from our photographers over the years, for seasonal promotions or special occasions like our highly successful Classic Holiday Sale, or simple, one-off sales, such as offering a free shipping discount.
While the app comes with our recommended settings, you can personalize the discount, emails, and banners, and adjust the timing to suit your preferences and schedule, ensuring campaigns reach clients at the right moments. It’s a simple way to connect with your gallery guests and boost sales during key moments throughout the year.
Automations
Unlike Campaigns, the Automations are designed based on specific gallery actions or dates, like sending a discount when a client either views their gallery for the first time, leaves items in their shopping cart, or after they make a purchase. Some Automations also provide your clients with particular products such as the Digital Giftcard app, Existing Gallery Backup app, or Send Product app. With Automations, you can effortlessly stay in touch with clients at the right moments, helping to boost engagement and sales without lifting a finger.
