Occasionally, a payment may indicate that it is pending and cannot be processed. This “Pending Payment” error is due to several varying factors dealing with payment methods. This article will cover a few resolutions to this issue to ensure your business can continue to run smoothly!

Common Scenarios

It's essential to understand common scenarios and resolutions related to the "Pending Payment" error message if you are a photographer experiencing this issue in your account.

Valid Payment Method

1. To resolve the "Pending Payment" error, consider updating your payment method. To do so, from your Main Dashboard, simply access your Settings.

2. In your Plans & Billing, ensure that your payment method is set up and still valid, not expired, and has sufficient funds. Click Update Payment Method.

Bank Blocking

Another common scenario resulting in a "Pending Payment" error may have to do with your bank. Banks often implement heightened security measures for subscription payments, which might result in a delay. In such cases, contacting your bank to authorize the payment may be necessary.

For a smoother experience, Pic-Time suggests using PayPal if you encounter this issue.

Refunds

As a photographer who has Pic-Time collecting your payments, there could be a scenario where you do not owe any money/are making a loss from a discount, but still receiving a pending payment error.

The likely reason is that one or more previous orders were refunded after you received your profit payout. Now, the system needs to charge you for the balance remaining after the refund. This process can sometimes lead to a pending payment status until the balance is settled.
