This article explains how to set up Pic-Time as the selling entity in the store.

Alternatively, you can set up the photographer as the selling entity. Compare both options here.

Overview

When Pic-Time collects payments, the platform manages all aspects of payment processing, including sales tax calculation and filing for each order, ensuring compliance with regional regulations.

The net profits from store sales (total amount paid by the client minus production and shipping costs) are deposited into the photographer’s PayPal account on the 1st and 15th of each month, provided all three conditions are met:

  • the total profit amount is over $20

  • the sale was made 7 days before the deposit date

  • your account information has your PayPal email

PayPal will issue a 1099 form for income over $600. Pic-Time does not provide 1099 forms for your earnings. For assistance in locating your form, visit your PayPal tax statement section here. Ensure proper record-keeping for your earnings to fulfill tax obligations.

When Pic-Time is the selling entity, the order confirmation will display the Pic-Time logo. The client’s credit card statement will show Pic-Time as the processing company, and all order confirmations will be sent by Pic-Time.

If there’s an issue with the product or delivery, or it doesn’t meet our service standards, our support team can issue a refund after consulting the photographer. The refund, if approved by the photographer, will be processed through the original payment method, reflecting in the customer’s account as per the payment processor’s timelines.

Setup

After selecting Pic-time under Payment Collected By, input the PayPal email address to allow the deposits to be made to your PayPal account. Click Apply to save your settings.
