Watermarks are an excellent choice for photographers aiming to safeguard their work within galleries. You can easily enable watermarks through the Gallery Setup tab. However, if the watermark option cannot be enabled, several factors may be at play. This article explains the potential reasons why the watermark option is not showing up.

Upload Watermark

If the Watermark settings in the Gallery Setup tab can’t be enabled, this may be because you haven’t uploaded a watermark yet.

After you set up your general watermark settings you can disable or enable the watermark in each gallery. To learn more about uploading your own watermark, read our article here.

Burned Watermark

If you cannot view the watermark option within your Gallery Setup tab, it could mean that you have Burned Watermark enabled in your Brand & Style tab.

To access this tab from the Main Dashboard, begin by navigating to Settings.

Click the Brand & Style tab, then select the brand whose settings you wish to check.

The Watermark Settings dropdown menu will indicate if you have selected Burned watermark. If you like, you can change to Flexible watermark. However, this will not affect any galleries that already had the Burned watermark applied. Learn more here.

After selecting the Flexible watermark option, return to your gallery's settings. Within the Gallery Setup tab, you'll find that the Watermark dropdown menu now enables you to make edits. If images were already uploaded to the gallery when your Burned Watermark was applied, you will need to re-upload the images. Learn more here.
