Pic-Time’s Slideshows can easily be shared across social media platforms. In this tutorial, we will go over how to create and add your slideshow for vertical social media viewing.

Design Slideshow for Social Media

1. To begin, select the Photos tab in your specific project, and click + Add Scene. Name your scene. Select + Create Slideshow. To learn more about adding video to your galleries, click here.

2. Name your slideshow and select the quality. Full HD will create the slideshow in 1920x1080px, and 4K will create the slideshow in 3840px. Please note: to use 4K quality, you need to purchase the 4K Slideshow Add-On. Learn more here.

Now choose the display format. Select 9:16 Story format to fit vertical social media displays (i.e. Instagram stories and reels). Click Continue.

undefined

3. Then select the photos you want to include in the slideshow and click Add Photos. Photos can be selected from the gallery, or you can upload additional photos by clicking on the + plus icon. You will also be able to add and remove additional photos in the slideshow editor as well.

undefined

Please Note: If you update the photos within the Photos tab itself (e.g., upload a new version of the image with the same file name) it will automatically update in the Slideshow as well.

4. Now you can select music, and design your slideshow. Learn more about designing slideshows here.

Music will cut with a fade to fit the slideshow length if your slideshow is shorter than the full song. You can also trim the song to fit any length. Click on the song to access the trim tool. Learn more about editing music here.

Duplicate Slideshow and Change Format

1. If you want to duplicate your slideshow to change the format for social media, from the Photos tab, click the three dots in the top right corner of the slideshow and select Duplicate. This will open the orientation screen again where you can select a new format for your slideshow.

undefined

2. If you change the slideshow orientation (Portrait / Landscape), a checkbox will be shown allowing you to choose whether you want to keep the existing slide layouts or auto adjust them to the new orientation.

You can also Hide the slideshow on mobile or desktop only, allowing you to control how the slideshows are viewed from any device. Learn more here.

Download and Share

1. When you are done creating your slideshow, click the Share button in the slideshow editor to open the Sharing window. Click the Download button to generate a file of your slideshow. This may take up to an hour for the slideshow to render, so you will be emailed the link to download when your slideshow is ready.

undefined

2. From your mobile device, follow the link in your email to download the slideshow to your phone and click Download Slideshow. Select Download to Mobile to save it to your mobile device. You can also save the slideshow to Dropbox or Google Photos.

undefined

3. For iOS devices, you will be taken to the slideshow file. Select More. Then click Save Video to save the slideshow to your mobile device. For Android devices, generally your slideshow file will download automatically.

undefined

4. Your slideshow will be saved to your camera roll. From there you can upload to any social media.
