Pic-Time’s Slideshow editor allows you to use songs from our vast music library, upload your own music, curate your favorites list, and share them with the Pic-Time community!

This article will show you how to add tracks and share your favorites, adjust the speed and beat matching, how to trim the audio, and edit the beat match of any track, including ones uploaded by you.

Music Library

1. Begin by browsing Pic-Time's music library. From the Slideshow Editor, click + Add Music.

In the music library, you can upload your own music (.mp3 files only), sort through your favorite tracks, filter tracks by Characteristic, Genre, Instrument, Mood, and Energy, or browse through different categories.

Please Note: Do not manually change the music extension from .m4a to .mp3. The system doesn't support this and the download won't work.

2. Click on the track thumbnail to begin playing. You can see the duration and mood of the track, and how many photos you need to add or remove to match the beat and length of the track at whatever duration speed you set for the slides. You can also click on the heart icon to add the track to your favorites list. To add the track to your Slideshow, click on the track to select it, and press Continue.

Share Music

In the favorites category, you can see other photographers' favorites and also choose to share your own favorites with the community. When you share your favorites, you can upload a cover and add a description. Other photographers will be able to see, favorite, and listen through your playlist. Learn more here.

Track Speed and Beat Matching

You can Fit all photos into the song, or match the image transition to the beat of the track with Fast Beat Match, Normal Beat Match, or Slow Beat Match. Slow speed is 4 seconds per slide, Normal speed is 2 seconds per slide, Fast speed is 1 second per slide, and Very Fast speed is 0.5 seconds per slide.

You can also create your own custom beat match for a track, which we will discuss later on.

If you need to remove a track, click on the ‘x’ icon to the left of the track name.

Audio Trimmer

1. Click the + icon to add multiple tracks. Manually trim and change the starting point of each track with the Audio Trimmer. Click Trim and Edit on the track’s soundwave to begin editing. Click and drag the track to change which portion of the song plays on the Slideshow, or manually input your desired starting point and duration of the track. Some slides may become hidden if your song duration is shorter than the total slide duration.

2. Adjust the slide speed and crossfade options in the top right corner. Click Close to return to the main Slideshow editor page.

3. When you have multiple tracks, you can edit the slide transition and the slide duration for each particular track. If you have too many slides, the slides will become hidden. Select to unhide the slides and extend the track duration, delete the slides from the Slideshow, or move the slides to the next track instead.

4. Click and hold the Shift key to select multiple slides at once to move them between tracks.

Beat Match Editor

1. Create your own custom beat match for a track (existing or uploaded by you). Click the + icon to open the Music Library, select the desired track, and click the Customize Beat Match icon to edit the track’s beat match.

2. In the Beat Match editor, you can adjust which speed you want to edit by selecting either Slow Beat Match, Normal Beat Match, or Fast Beat Match.

3. Each red bar on the track timeline indicates a beat. You can click and drag to adjust, or click on the ‘x’ above the pulse to delete it.

4. Click on the timeline or drag it to change the portion of the track that’s in view. Click the Play icon to begin playing the track, and click the + Add Pulse button (or click the Enter/Return key on your keyboard) to add a pulse.

undefined

5. Click + Bulk Add to easily add pulses to the entire track. You will see a preview red bar for each pulse on the timeline. Select a default beat, or manually set your own beat duration. Then click Apply.

6. When you are done editing your beat match, click Apply in the top right corner to return to the Music Library. You can click the < Back button to discard all your changes or click undo/redo to discard a recent change.
