Welcome to Pic-Time! Switching from another gallery service can feel overwhelming, so we offer two simple solutions:
Paid Migration Service: Our team handles everything for you (Learn more!)
Self-Migration: Move your galleries yourself using our free Chrome extension. Just install the extension, select your galleries and templates, and we’ll handle the rest. Continue reading to learn more about this option.
Please Note: The self-migration Chrome extension currently works only with ShootProof and Pixieset galleries. We plan to add support for other platforms in the future.
Self-Migration to Pic-Time
Download Extension
1. On your computer, create a folder in your Documents folder named “Pic-Time Migration”.
2. Click here to download the extension.
3. If the Chrome extension was downloaded as a .zip file, move it from your Downloads folder into the Pic-Time Migration folder you created. Then, unzip the file by either double-clicking it or right-clicking and selecting Extract (or Unzip) inside the Pic-Time Migration folder.
Add Extension to Chrome
4. Open Chrome, and click on Window > Extensions in the top navigation bar.
5. Make sure the Developer Mode is activated (toggled on) in the top right corner of the page, then click Load unpacked.
6. Click on the pic-time-migration extension folder inside the Pic-Time Migration folder you created, and click Select.
Log in to the Self-Migration Extension
7. Click the puzzle icon on Chrome's toolbar, and then click the Pic-Time Migration extension to open it.
8. Click on Login to open your Pic-Time account.
Connect Pic-Time
9. The extension will open your Pic-Time login page in a new tab. Log in to your Pic-Time account, then grant Migration API access by clicking Approve. Wait a few moments for the connection to complete.
Connect ShootProof or Pixieset
10. The tab will close, and you’ll then be taken back to the migration tool window. Select the platform you are moving from.
This will open a tab to that platform's login page, where you can Log in to your account.
Please keep this tab open for the full migration process. Then wait until the next screen loads.
Note: Do NOT close any tabs. Keep the extension open until the migration has completed.
Please Note: We currently only offer support for ShootProof and Pixieset. Other services will be available soon.
Select Galleries
11. After the screen loads, you can go back to the Pic-Time Migration Tool tab, filter for certain types of galleries to narrow down date, status, or type of gallery (click here to learn more!), and checkmark specific galleries you want to migrate, then click Migrate.
Please Note: Click Select All only if you want to migrate all of your galleries. If you change your mind and decide to select specific galleries, first click the Clear button and then continue your selection.
Select Templates
Please Note: We recommend using a Gallery Template for your migration so that your galleries migrate with your intended settings. Set one up in your Pic-Time account before migrating, following the steps here.
12. To migrate without a Gallery Template, skip to step 15. To add a Gallery Template, click Add Template in the migration tool.
13. Select the Pic-Time Gallery Template(s) you want to use. You can select more than one Template at a time.
14. Click the + plus icon underneath each Template to add galleries to that Template. Click the x icon if you want to remove any galleries or Templates from the selection.
Start the Migration
15. Click Start to begin the migration.
16. The migration process will start immediately, and you’ll then see the Migration Status page. You can click on the specific migration to see the progress.
17. You'll receive an email once the process finishes. After the process finishes, you can close any tabs that were opened by the extension.

Start your migration immediately.
Free to use — no fees.
Enhanced security since your credentials aren’t shared.
Can I filter and sort the galleries so I can choose the ones I want to migrate?
Yes! Before selecting galleries (step 11), you can use filters and sort options:

Tag (category/occasion)
Status (Active, Inactive, etc.)
Available Sort options:
Name (A-Z, Z-A)
Created (New-Old, Old-New)

Why are my migrated galleries offline?
By default, migrated galleries are set to offline to ensure their privacy. After the process is complete, you can turn them online and grant client access using the Gallery Migration App.
What types of media/information are migrated from my old service to Pic-Time?
This method can migrate the same media/information that our paid services do. You can find more about this here in the general Migration FAQ article.
Will this use my computer resources?
No, you just need to start the process. The tool will connect the two accounts to our computers and use its power to do the migration process.
Will this use my internet connection?
Only during setup — selecting galleries and templates. The download/upload process uses our computers, so slower connections won’t be a problem.
What if I don't have time to do it myself?
Our Self-Migration Tool is very quick! However if you would prefer us to do it for you we still offer our paid migration service here.
