When downloading and installing the Pic-time Uploader App, your computer system may not recognize the connection from the app.
A prompt from your computer may notify you to adjust your antivirus or firewall settings.
McAfee
1. To enable the Uploader app through McAfee, first open the main McAfee window and click on the gear icon in the upper right corner to access your settings.
2. Click Firewall.
3. Click on the [Add] button on the lower right corner to add an exception.
4. Add the Uploader app, either selecting from the list, or through the file explorer.
5. Make sure the checkbox is set right to the Incoming and outgoing.
Windows Defender
If you do not see the McAfee program on your computer, you can adjust your settings through Windows Defender. Follow the instructions below or click here to learn more.
1. Use the Search function on your Windows desktop (next to the Start button).
2. Type "control panel" and press Enter on your keyboard to search.
3. In the Search Control Panel, type "Windows Defender Firewall".
4. Select "Allow an app through Windows Firewall" and click Change settings
5. In the Settings, you can select apps that can be accessed when you use private or public networks (or both). Select the Uploader app and click Okay to save your changes.
We recommend that you don’t allow traffic through a public network.
