A Sales & Automation app is inactive when it is being edited or in the Draft stage.

View an App's Status

To view an app’s status, begin by going to Sales & Automation from your Main Dashboard.

undefined

Then select either the Campaigns tab or Automations tab. You’ll see the app marked as Draft or Inactive.

undefined

If the app is assigned to a gallery, the status will also show as inactive from the gallery’s Automations & Discounts tab.

undefined

When an app is inactive but still assigned to a gallery, upcoming actions connected to the app will not run. All upcoming app emails for the assigned galleries will be paused until the app is activated again.

The app also cannot be assigned to galleries while inactive.

Are Coupons Still Valid when an App is Inactive?

If a client received a coupon through the app while the app was active, the coupon will still be valid even when the app is inactive.

If you do not want the coupon to be valid, you will need to unassign the app from the gallery.

To unassign an app from a gallery, go to the gallery’s Automations & Discounts tab, hover over the Automation and select the three-dot menu. Choose Unassign from gallery. Or click the toggle icon to the left of the Automation.

undefined

Click Remove Anyway and the app will be unassigned from the gallery and the coupon will no longer be valid.

undefined

Changing the App’s Status

To change the app’s status from Inactive to Active, go to the Sales & Automation tab from your Main Dashboard and click on the Campaigns tab or Automations tab, depending on which app you want to activate. Click on the inactive app that you would like to activate.

undefined

Review the app settings, then click Done Editing in the top right corner.

undefined

Note: If you make changes to an app that is already assigned to galleries, you will need to un-assign and re-assign the app for the changes to reflect within the assigned galleries. Learn more about making changes to apps here.

After you click Done Editing, the app’s status will change to active.

Now that the app is active, any upcoming actions the app has left, such as automated emails, will resume for assigned galleries.

Note: If you leave the app editing page without clicking Done Editing, the app will remain inactive.

Assign New Galleries

If the app is not assigned to any galleries yet or you would like to assign the app to a new gallery, click Assign to Galleries.

undefined

After you assign the app to a gallery the app will be active, however there may be a delayed start depending on your settings. Learn more about assigning apps to galleries here.
