How to Resolve Uploader Error Message on Newest Mac OS Ventura

Some Ventura users are receiving an Uploader is Damaged error message while attempting to update to the latest version of the Uploader app.

Similarly, some users receive the same error when updating to Ventura: “Pic-Time Uploader” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

Resolve Uploader Error

1. To resolve this, first click Cancel on the error message (do not Move to Trash).

2. Open Finder, then go to your Applications folder, locate the "Pic-Time Uploader" and move it to the Trash (right-click and select Move to Trash).

3. Install the latest Uploader for Mac.

4. If the problem persists, follow the steps below.

If you are attempting to update your Uploader, follow these steps.

If you are receiving the Uploader is Damaged error when installing the Uploader app, follow these steps.


Steps to Update the Uploader App

1. First, click Cancel on the error message.

2. Open a Finder window on your Mac, go to Applications, and locate the Pic-Time Uploader app. Right-click on the Pic-Time uploader icon and click Open.

3. Click Open again.

The Uploader should then proceed with updating. To make sure it’s updated correctly, you should see the Pic-Time icon in the top right corner of your Mac.

Click on the icon, and make sure you’re on the latest version.

If the Uploader is not on the latest version, repeat the steps in this tutorial one more time.


Steps to Install the Uploader App

For photographers installing the app, you may receive this error message: The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

1. If you receive this error message, Close the message.

2. Move the downloaded Install Pic-Time Uploader installation package to your Application folder, and then double-click to run the installer again.

3. If you receive the same error message again, click on the Apple logo in the top left corner, go to System Preferences > Privacy and Security > Full Disk Access

4. Then look for the “installer” or “installationprogram - app” option and select it if it’s currently unselected. Then double-click on the Uploader installation package to run the installer again.
