After you’ve uploaded images to your gallery, Pic-Time automatically provides suggested color palettes for those images, including light and dark variations, which you can edit.

In addition, you can create your own custom palettes. Create a palette specific to your branding, match the client’s branding for an elevated look to their gallery, or pick colors to showcase each gallery’s images in their own unique way.

1. To begin, go to the gallery’s Design tab, navigate to the Color palettes section, and either click the three dots to Edit a palette, or click the + plus icon to create a custom palette.

2. In the editor, click through the three tabs to adjust the Background, Content, and Accent color. From these three colors, Pic-Time will generate a complete palette for the entire gallery and shop interface.

3. You can adjust the hue by selecting the slider and clicking on the color grid to select the specific tone, or by entering the specific color hex code.

Click the undo or redo buttons if you need to go back to a previous color.

4. On the color grid, you’ll see Pic-Time recommended color ranges based on your three colors (Background, Content, and Accent) indicated by dotted grids separated by lines. The color range with no dotted grid indicates the best readability and accessibility, whereas the color range with the largest dotted grid indicates poor visibility.

Depending on your selected colors, we may recommend that you choose a very light or very dark color (left example), or a color right in the middle of the tonal range (right example).

5. If you select a color outside of our suggested range, click Auto fix and Pic-Time will automatically choose the nearest accessible. This allows you to keep your general color while giving your clients the best visual experience.

6. When you’re ready, click Save color palette.

7. From your three base colors, Pic-Time will generate a complete palette for the entire gallery and shop interface. Hover over each color to see its hex code and where the color is being used. Then click Done.

8. If you want to make your palette available in all galleries, hover over the palette and click on the three dots, then toggle on Available in all galleries.

If you need to delete a palette, hover over the palette and click on the three dots, then click Delete. This will not alter the existing galleries that used the color palette, it will only delete the palette for future use.
