You can select portions of Clips, Featured Videos, and Slideshows to be displayed as the Gallery Cover or Scene Headers to immerse your clients in their gallery experience.

Pro Tip: We recommend trimming your media to around 7 seconds for maximum impact.

Please Note: The original, full-length Clips, Featured Videos, and Slideshows will be preserved in your gallery and will not be affected.

Go to the Design tab in the gallery, and click on the Cover or Scene Header preview.

Trimming your media

If you have selected a Video Clip, Slideshow, or Featured Video to feature in your design, you can adjust which specific part of the media you wish to display. Hover over the media item, then click on the three dots icon and select to Trim video.

In the editor, you can adjust video length by editing the Trim start and Trim end times, or by adjusting the markers on the timeline. You can see the current duration of your edit under Trim length.

Timeline Control

Drag the vertical marker or the colored range selector to scrub through the video, and drag either end of the colored range selector to adjust the duration.

You can also click on the boxes under Trim start and Trim end to adjust the duration.

Keyboard Shortcuts

When selecting the timeline:

Press Spacebar to control playback

Press left/right arrow key for fine seeking to the next .01s

Press shift + left/right arrow key for larger jumps to the next 1.00s

When typing exact times into the input fields:

Press up/down arrow key for fine seeking to the next .01s

Press shift + up/down arrow key for larger jumps to the next 1.00s

Save

Once you’ve made your edits, click + Save to save your changes to the media. This won’t adjust or affect the original media, only the version displayed on the Gallery Cover or Scene Header. Alternatively, you can click + Save and duplicate if you want to create different videos. For example, if you have a long Featured Video, you can create three separate smaller videos to highlight in a 3-image gallery cover.

Click on the three dots and select the Trim video option again if you want to adjust the video, including restoring it to its original version.
