When setting up pricing for products in your Pic-Time shop, there are three price rounding options to create a consistent pricing style. This article gives an overview of how the price rounding works and shows examples of each option.

You can set your own pricing and adjust profit margins using the Store Pricing settings, which provide full control over your prices. For detailed instructions on Store Pricing settings, check out our article on how to set your store pricing.

Where to Find & Edit the Price Rounding

You can find the price rounding options by navigating to the Settings from the Main Dashboard.

In the Store Pricing tab select the price list you wish to adjust.

Adjust price rounding for all products

To edit pricing for all products at once, click Markup & Presets in the menu bar. Note that this will override pricing for all products within this price list, even if they were previously set individually.

A pop-up menu will appear where you can set your Markup preferences and choose your preferred Rounding style. Click Apply to confirm your choices.

Adjust price rounding for individual products

To adjust pricing for select products individually, hover over the product and click to Edit Price.

Then select Markup & Presets.

Set your Markup preferences and Rounding style in the pop-up menu. Click Apply to confirm.

Price Rounding Styles

No Rounding

Prices are set exactly as they are without any adjustments. This means that the final price could include decimals, such as $492.66 or $789.37, giving a precise cost for each product.

Round Prices

Prices are rounded to the nearest .00, .25, or .50. This creates a clean and simple appearance while still maintaining a logical pricing structure.

For example, a base price of an album $249.99 could be rounded to $250.00, and an additional spread price might be $10.50.

Round Promotional Style

Prices are rounded in a promotional way, where the base price always ends in .99, and additional costs (such as for spreads in albums) end in .00.

For instance, if the base price of an album is $249.99, and each additional spread costs $10.00, an album with three additional spreads would total $279.99.

These options allow you to choose the pricing style that best fits your branding and helps maintain consistency across all your print products.
