With the introduction of Pic-Time 2.0, we are excited to release new updates to Pic-Time’s Lightroom Plug-in. Learn more about Pic-Time 2.0 here!
How do I check the Lightroom Plug-in for updates?
The Plug-in will automatically check for updates, and you can manually check as well. Learn more here.
What’s new?
Sync client Selections and Collections
You can now sync clients’ Pic-Time 2.0 Selections/Collections, with the option to sync from a CSV file as an alternative to the live API path.
Sync client comments
Comments that clients leave from a Selection Request are synced to Lightroom's native Comments panel, next to the photo to which they refer. Built on Adobe's own publish-service hook rather than a custom field, so culling and retouching happen without leaving Lightroom, just click to Sync Gallery and Lightroom will organize the comments based on date, with newest comments at the top.
Pinned comments
Comments that your client pins on a Pic-Time gallery will be shown Lightroom marked with a Pinned: label, so the feedback they flagged as most important stands out in the Comments panel.
Orders folder
Client orders will now appear as a folder in the Publish Service called Orders → Order # → product, showing exactly which photos each order needs. Editing a photo and publishing from the order folder re-uploads it in place, so the lab will receive the corrected file under its existing name.
Please note: this only applies to orders on Hold; after the order is approved/sent to production, it cannot be updated via the Plug-in.
Video publishing
Videos publish to gallery scenes alongside images as Video Clips. Publishing a video that already exists in that scene allows the option to replace it or add it as a second copy.
Per-gallery Rename on Publish
Each gallery can now be assigned its own file naming preset, overriding your global settings, which can be useful for studios running different naming conventions per client or per job. In addition, token handling was reworked, including per-scene sequence reset and virtual-copy naming.
Fixes and improvements
Safer permanent actions: New confirmation dialogs will appear before deleting Plug-in components. In addition, there are new support and maintenance tools in the Developer section for faster diagnosis during support conversations.
Duplicate uploads and wrong deletions: Now resolved. A photo used across several scenes or Selections could be re-uploaded as a duplicate, or have the wrong copy deleted from Pic-Time. The Plug-in now resolves the exact Pic-Time photo behind every publish and delete, and refuses to act when it cannot - it never guesses a name.
Stale gallery data cleared on delete: Deleted photos no longer keep outdated gallery information attached, which was the root of several bugs.
Virtual copies: A virtual copy published to a scene now always uploads under its own distinct name, so it is added next to the original instead of overwriting it.
Reliability and diagnostics: More resilient uploads, clearer connection messages, and updated support for the latest Pic-Time Uploader, better gallery URL handling, and an end to log-file corruption that previously hampered support.
