Deleting a photo from your gallery can affect other places where the image is used, such as blogs, slideshows, and orders. Below is a detailed explanation of how to delete a photo and what happens when you do.

How do I delete select photos from a gallery?

1. In your gallery's Photos & Media tab, click on the image(s) you wish to delete. An Items Selected menu will appear at the top. Click Manage Photos and then select Delete in the drop-down menu.

Please Note: Make sure to review where the photo is being used before deleting it to avoid affecting slideshows or client orders. Taking this extra step can help prevent disruptions and maintain a seamless client experience.

What happens when an image is deleted?

Slideshows

When you delete a photo from your gallery, it is automatically removed from any slideshows that include it. This ensures that slideshows always reflect the current state of your gallery.

Blogs

Deleting a photo from your gallery does not remove it from blogs unless the blog itself is edited. Blogs featuring a deleted photo will continue to display the image as it was when the blog was published.

To update a blog to reflect the changes in your gallery, you must manually edit the blog post.

Orders

Deleting photos that are part of orders whether on hold, still processing, or recently shipped can cause significant issues.

For on-hold or processing orders, deleting an image will set a "Deleted Photos" error, leaving the order stuck and unable to progress. You will need to reupload the photo to the order itself to resolve the error.

If an order has already shipped, deleting photos may cause problems if future updates or reorders are needed and we generally do not recommend it.

Please Note: Do not delete any photos associated with orders to prevent errors and disruptions. Always ensure the photo is no longer in use before deleting.
