What are Gallery Backups?
You can offer a Gallery Backup through either the Existing Gallery Backup app, or through the Gallery to Backup System app.
The Gallery Backup allows you to offer subscription-based hosting to your clients, which allows them to keep their gallery online and safe in the cloud for as long as they’d like. The subscription automatically renews annually through PayPal, and not only provides clients with continuous access to the images they cherish, but also provides valuable support to you as the photographer.
This article will walk you through how clients purchase the Gallery Backup product, when renewal is, and how to cancel the subscription.
How to purchase Gallery Backups
1. To purchase a Gallery Backup, click on the Shop button within the gallery.
2. Select the Gallery Backup product.
3. Once clients click Subscribe, they will be directed to PayPal for the subscription’s first payment.
When does the Gallery Backup Renew?
The subscription will renew every year on the day that clients purchased it.
If the subscription payment fails, the gallery will remain online for 6 days (the client will be emailed every 2 days reminding them), during which clients can purchase the subscription again from the gallery shop.
If they do not repurchase, the gallery will expire (set to Offline).
How to Cancel a Subscription
If you remove the Gallery to Backup System app or the Existing Gallery Backup app from a gallery, that will automatically cancel the subscription in Paypal.
Alternatively, Clients can cancel the subscription after logging into their PayPal account.
To cancel a paypal subscription, in the Account Settings, go to Money, banks and cards.
Under the Preapproved payments section, click Manage Preapproved Payments. It may also be located in the Autopay section.
Then select pic-time inc from the list and in the Status section, click Cancel or Remove PayPal as payment method.
